Aging rate of dielectric permittivity and loss for PMN–PT based single crystals manufactured by continuous-feeding Bridgman with alternating current poling

Aging rate (AR) of dielectric permittivity (ε33T/ε0) ternary Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3–Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–xPbTiO3 (PIN–PMN–xPT, x = 26 and 30 mol %) binary Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–xPbTiO3 (PMN–xPT, single crystals (SCs) grown by the continuous-feeding Bridgman method (CF-BM) were investigated. The AR was 0.6–2.0 %/decade, whereas that loss SCs 1–8 %/decade. Even though SC growth methods different, CF-BM PMN–30PT similar with conventional one-charge (OC-BM) SCs. In this work, possessing high ε33T/ε0 more than 8000 alternating current poling (ACP) 4 to 7 times larger PZT ceramics. It is noted higher tend exhibit AR. Given in an unstable state within 10 h after poling, presented paper calculated from 100 poling. We hope work provides a new insight for evaluating properties addresses fact piezoelectric devices should be properly selected considering whether their could let them normally during entire lifetime.
